In a recent trip to Berlin the Polkadot staff has discovered the danish fashion brand VAN DALE. In a digital world of personal transparency and complete life exposure – brought on by Facebooking, MySpacing, blogging,YouTubing (and all the other propernouns now ending in‘ing’) – the strongest way to draw attention to yourself is to disappear. That’s exactly what the designer and it’s crew of VAN DALE, did. Supporting animosity and androgyny not only through their creations, but also through their image, VAN DALE provides nothing but vague and intriguing statements describing a faceless designer, despite, how funny it meight seem, the designs is everything but anonymous. Going into hiding has worked for other famous designers; perhaps VAN DALE is en route to becoming the next big, invisible thing. Discover the very visible part of VAN DALE on www.van-dale.com
