Chicago is a good place for musicians and rock music. Some important rock bands come from Chicago: the Smashing Pumpkins, Shellac, Jesus Lizard, Wilco and Tortoise. Tortoise are considered one of the most important indie rock band of the scene, and the most part of their production has been made during the nineties, have a listen to “Millions now living never die” (1996) and “TNT” (1998). Their music is usually defined as post rock with some contamination from jazz, electro and psychedelia. During the gig the musicians like changing instruments and the atmosphere is absolutely unpredictable. Tonight the gig is at Magazzini Generali in Milan. The band is on tour to promote the new album “Beacons of Ancestorship”.
Tickets: €18
