Just recently, POLKADOT grabbed an 18mm and 50mm lens and infiltrated an abandoned East German cement plant slowly crumbling into dust on the outskirts of Berlin. A somber silence blankets the site, only pierced by the random calls of birds and the crunch of broken rubble under our feet. Once a functioning mega-system pumping out hundreds of tons of cement, this one has been overtaken by moss, lichen, and wild grass. Forgotten by the majority of the city, rain and wind has taken their toll and broken down the concrete formwork to reveal the steel structure within. If a jungle were to grow over the site, one could imagine an Amazon-temple like aura to the abstract architecture.
