Helle Foldøy Frederiksen is a Scandinavian being half Danish, half Norwegian living 30 minutes from Sweden in a cozy village by the sea north of Copenhagen. Several of her childhood years were spent in South Africa and South America among these strong cultures and strong tradition for handy crafted products. She feels a strong respect for their traditions and ancient history but also believes her immense interest and love for the Nordic minimalistic design traditions has been shaped and sharpened due to her early encounter with other proud and respected cultures and traditions.
