Industrial designer Mike Chen decided to revive the TV as a piece of furniture in itself, able to dress a room nicely. His point makes a lot of sense: why buy furniture to put the TV on, when it can stand alone on its feet? Also, the remote control has been simplified to just two functions, switching channels and adjusting the volume, and it has its own space in the TV box when it is not in use. Even if it’s just a prototype, I’m loving the idea and the retro-modern design.
