Nordic design is one of the best of the world. Holland is one of the big centers of last design evolutions. Utrecht has been really smart to collect few people to organize Biennal for social design.
In this space and time point, we need to rethink to everything, aspecially in fields we challenge better. This autumn the biennal, arrived to 3rd edition, will pourpose a theme to think about.
The starting point is the utopian potential of Modernism, which has left explicit physical and mental traces in Utrecht thanks to De Stijl. After an intensive research period, Utrecht Manifest is the occasion for several projects, meetings and exhibitions on various locations in Utrecht. The programme and its implementation are a group effort resulting from the various contributions of curators, designers, producers and experts in specific fields.
